In November 2025 Deputy Michael Chavers, the Pioneer School Resources Deputy, was on duty when a student started choking. Chavers, without hesitation, started the Heimlich maneuver and was able to dislodge an obstruction from the visitor’s throat. Thank You Deputy Chavers for your quick action and saving the life of a Grady County Citizen, and thank you for giving a tour of the Office to the students of Pioneer School.
