In August of 2023, Grady County Investigators began an Investigation in reference to a 13-year-old juvenile female, who disclosed she had been sexually assaulted by family member, Dalton Ralph Dorrough. The victim reported she was approximately 6 years of age when these incidents began. In the course of the investigation, a forensic interview was completed and detailed disclosures were made by the now 13-year-old female victim.  On October 16, 2023, Investigators obtained a Felony Warrant for Dalton Ralph Dorrough's arrest, for Lewd Molestation and Lewd Acts to a Child Under 12 year of age. Dalton was located in another town and arrested on March 22, 2024. Dalton was remained in the Grady County Jail until his Jury Trial on August 19, 2025, where he was found Guilty for Lewd Molestation to Child Under 12. On October 8, 2025, Dalton Ralph Dorrough was sentenced to 30 years in the State Penitentiary, where he will serve at least 85% of the sentence, and upon his release he will be required to register as a Sex Offender.
