- Grady County Detention Center inmates are required to fill out a
visitation list when they are housed in this facility. This list can
only be changed every 30 days.
- No one will be allowed to visit unless their name is on the inmates
visitation list and has been approved.
- When visiting you must have in your possession a valid driver's license
or identification card.
- No one under 17 years of age will be allowed in the facility except
with a guardian.
- Children 17 years and under can visit with an adult. 1 child per
1 adult only.
- Out of state visitors over 200 miles will get 45 minutes. We must
be given a 48 hour notice.
- No one is permitted in the visitation area with purses, coats, or
packages of any kind. All items other than your identification and keys should
be locked in your vehicle. All visitors can and may be searched.
- Cash will NOT be accepted. US POSTAL MONEY ORDERS made out to the
inmate's name only will be accepted.
- Proper conduct by all visitors and inmates is expected. Improper
conduct will result in termination of the visit. Individuals who have
indications of alcohol or drug use will not be allowed visitation, and a
deputy will be contacted.
- The administration reserves the right to deny visitation to persons
deemed to be improperly dressed or suspected of carrying contraband.
- No shorts or skirts above knee. No low cut blouses. No tank
tops. No exposed waistline or underwear. This applies to both men
and women.
- Visits are limited to 15 minutes per inmate. There are no exception.
Inmates are allowed (1) visit per week.
- All visitors will enter through the main office, check in, and get a
pass. No one will be checked in to visit after 2:45pm.
Visitation is a privilege, not a right. If a holiday falls on or
before a visiting day, that visiting day can be cancelled.

Commissary
Grady County Detention Center has a large commissary selection.
- Inmates are allowed to purchase items out of commissary once a week.
- Inmates that are indigent are given personal hygiene items, paper, pen,
envelopes, and stamps weekly. Indigent means an inmate that has had $5 or
less on his account for 15 consecutive working days.
- Money orders must be received the week before commissary.
- Balances of inmate's accounts will only be given to the inmate.
- NO outside packages will be
accepted.
- You can order for the inmate yourself.
